Michael makes his first movie…

Just a quick post to show y’all the sunflowers that Michael grew in the front yard this year.  One of them grew to over 6 foot tall!  Michael was proud that we were the only people on our street to have six foot flowers…

I went outside after an afternoon rain today and found this little guy against the wall in the backyard. He was very calm and waited patiently for me and Michael to go inside and get Tamara’s camera and come back out and take a number of photos of him.

• Lemonade
• Mac & Cheese

• 1 Strawberry
• 2 Triscuts
• 4 Chocolate Chip Cookies
• 1 Apple

Michael, Tamara and I just got back from walking around the block, we usally go once or twice a day. This evening Michael and I were playing “The Robin Hood Stature and Lo Pan’s Cheerleaders” and Michael said “daddy” 121 times.

121 times in the course of one trip around the block. Tam and I counted, and we may have missed a few. When I said that the boy says millions of words a day these days, I may have underestimated…

Michael and Granpa tied a football on some rope and lowered it off the side… The first thing they caught was that giant tube, or earthworm, or whatever it is. They caught a bunch of toys - notice grandma down below….

Like many 4.5 year olds Michael has a great imagination and is often making up his own little worlds. The other day I was out working in the yard and MJk was “playing James Bond”.

He was a super spy saving the world and I was playing his supervisor as I trimmed the bushes. He would go off and do some Bond type thing and come back and report.

At one point he told me that he had met the bad girl and that she wanted to kiss him. I told him that James Bond kissed all the girls, but he was insistent, he did not want to kiss the bad girl. Once his next trip back to report to me he told me that she kissed him. I said - oooh you were kissed by a bad girl.

Without batting an eye he said ” I don’t think she’s is bad, she’s just misunderstood”…

Granpa and Michael were playing spy and clues and superheroes, etc. They were stalking bad guys around the back yard. As they approached the fish pond, filled with strings of green algae, Grampa looked down and said, “oooh look, it’s pure evil.”

Michael looked at the pond, looked at his fellow superhero, Granpa, and replied, “Pull yourself together man, it’s just some grass!”
